About this Event

Calling all Brecon Beacons dogs (and their humans)!

Grab your lead, round up your four-legged besties and join Mountain Warehouse and @fredrickandroyston for a free community dog walk in Brecon Beacons.

Hosted by Hannah, the human behind the popular Instagram channel, with her beloved Golden Retrievers Fredrick & Royston leading the way, it's a chance to meet fellow dog lovers, make some new furry friends and enjoy a bit of the great outdoors together.

Whether your pup is a keen explorer or prefers to take things at a more leisurely pace, we'd love you to come along.

We'll meet at Brecon Beacons (exact pin to be sent to attendees) before heading off together for a group walk, with plenty of opportunities for sniffs, socialising and wagging tails along the way.

The event is part of Great British Walkies, a guide to Britain's best walks through the eyes - and noses - of dogs. A brilliant team of Ambassadogs have been exploring their favourite routes across the UK, rating everything from sniff quality and stick availability to the best spots for zoomies.

Best of all? It's completely free! But with just 20 places available, make sure you book yours before they're gone.

Event details:

  • Date: Saturday 7th November 2026
  • Arrival time: 10:00am
  • Walk start and finish: 10:00am - 13:00pm
  • Who you'll be meeting: Hannah and her two Golden Retrievers,
  • Fredrick & Royston
  • Meeting point: Llangyndir, Beacons National Park Authority, Cambrian Way, Brecon LD3 7HP (attendees will receive an exact pin)
  • Route, distance and difficulty: Mountain route, the walk is 5km-9km, quite flat but mountain terrain
  • Tickets: Free, 20 places available

Before you book:

We want everyone, two-legged and four-legged, to have a safe and enjoyable walk.

Please check the route, distance and conditions to make sure the walk is suitable for you and your dog. Routes may include uneven or hilly ground, and other animals and members of the public may be present.

A few important things to know:

  • All adults must complete and sign the hosted-walk consent form and agree to the participation terms before taking part.
  • Under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over, who remains responsible for their safety and supervision.
  • Each participant may be responsible for a maximum of two dogs.
  • Dogs must not be known to be aggressive.
  • Dogs must be kept under proper control and on leads where required by law or instructed by organisers, including near roads, livestock, wildlife or crowded areas.
  • Any additional restrictions set out in the consent form, including requirements relating to the Dangerous Dogs Act, must be followed.
  • Please clean up after your dog and be considerate of other walkers, animals and members of the public.
  • All attendees must follow the organisers' instructions. Organisers may refuse participation or ask someone to leave if safety concerns arise.

If you need practical support or accessibility arrangements, please contact [email protected] before attending so these can be discussed. You do not need to share medical diagnoses.

What to bring:

A pup, a lead and comfy walking shoes!

Please dress for the weather (or pop into Mountain Warehouse to gear-up) and bring poo bags, drinking water for you and your dog, and any snacks or treats you might need along the way.

There will be an opportunity to stop for a picnic, so please bring a packed lunch.

Please don’t bring balls or fetch toys, so we can avoid any scuffles between the dogs.
