About this Event
Using the versatile CNC vinyl cutter, you will create a unique, decorative sign on rustic wood. Each student will design a simple file using a template in Inkscape - a powerful vector drawing software. Next, we will take our files to the CNC vinyl cutter, where each student will be able to cut their file on the vinyl cutter with instructor guidance. Since we are using rustic barnwood, the vinyl will act as a stencil. After weeding and applying the stencils to our wood pieces, we will take our signs to the spray booth to be painted! Not only will you learn how to use the CNC vinyl cutter independently as a Protohaven member, you will learn how to design simple vector files in Inkscape. You will also gain experience in how to use this simple process to make signage for the home, as gifts, or for your small business.
