About this Event
Granny Square Club is a crochet gathering where we will learn how to make granny squares and other square motifs, and work on granny square projects.
Each month will introduce a pattern for a different granny square or other square motif, introduced via the Granny Square Card Decks created by Claire Montgomerie.
Available at every meeting will be a handout including the directions for the basic traditional granny square, the written instructions for that month’s special square, as well as suggestions for ideas on how to use your squares.
Bring your own supplies: You will need a crochet hook and yarn combination that you feel comfortable with. Or you can grab them at the shop. Your unique set of hook, yarn, and tension will determine the size of your finished squares. Upon your first attendance, we can work out any changes that can help you achieve the square size that you desire. Some designs may have 4 colors.
Pre-Requisites: Knowledge of all basic crochet stitches including chain (ch), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), half-double crochet (hdc), and slip stitch (sl). Other stitches will be taught as they come up in new squares.
Cost
$30 per person per session. No multi-session discount.
