GrandFriends is a warm and welcoming community café bringing different generations together to connect, chat and enjoy time in one another’s company.Whether you come with a baby or little one, are a parent, grandparent, neighbour, or simply someone who would enjoy meeting new people, you will be made very welcome. You do not need to come with anybody else and you do not need to know anyone before you arrive.
Each week we share a light lunch, enjoy relaxed conversation and create opportunities for friendships to grow naturally. There is no pressure to join in with anything. You can stay for the whole session or simply pop in for a cuppa.
GrandFriends exists because people of every generation benefit from feeling connected. It creates a friendly space where children, families and adults of all ages can spend time together, reducing isolation and helping build a stronger local community.
GrandFriends is a myLifePool community initiative delivered with The Pond at Oatlands Community Centre.
