Join us for the 4th Annual Grand Valley River Fest on May 17th From 11 am - 4 pm https://grandvalleyriverfest.com/
Hosted by Grand Junction Adventures, River Rescue Dynamics and Gear Junction with support from and proceeds to benefit RiversEdge West and Save-a-Life Jacket Program. The goal of the festival is to educate and engage the community on all aspects related to our local waterways: Stewardship & Environmental Ethics, Boater Safety & Recreation.
River Fest will include the following fun events for the whole family: *Admission into the event is free!
Live Local Music- 11:00 am – 4:00 pm:
Bands include- Stray Grass and additional bands TBD
Beer Garden – 11:00 am – 4:00 pm:
Save-A-Life-Jacket Program will be hosting a beer garden at the event. All proceeds will go towards this nonprofit organization. Beer sponsor includes Trail Life Brewery and other local breweries.
Food Trucks:
Mount Garfield, Nomads Bowlz, and 3 TBD
Community Gear Swap – 11:00 – 4:00 pm:
The Gear Junction & Grand Junction Adventures will be hosting this event. Participants wanting to take part of this event must fill out registration form prior to the event. Forms can be found on event website (grandvalleyriverfest.com). We are only selling booth space for this event. Vendors will be responsible for their own money transactions. Proceeds from this event will go towards Save-A-Life-Jacket Program, RiversEdge West and festival start-up cost.
SUP Yoga- 9:30 -10:45 am:
Proceeds from this event will go towards a local non-profit in the community that focuses on mental and physical health. Event cost is $35. Pre-registration and waiver form must be filled out prior to event. Grand Junction Adventures will be donating it’s stand up paddle equipment & safety gear for this event.
Silent Auction – 11:00 - 3:30pm:
The Silent Auction table will be located by the beer garden. Winners will be announced at 3:30pm.
Paddle Board Jousting – 1:00 – 2:00 pm:
Battle Royale on Butterfly Pond, paddle jousting dual between two paddle boarders. Participants will be given a life jacket, helmet, paddle board and double padded jousting paddle. Grand Junction Adventures has donated stand up paddle equipment and safety gear for This is a free event. Pre-registration and waiver form must be filled out prior to event. Prizes will be given to top winners of each age group.
Cornhole Tournament - 2:00 - 4:00 pm:
This event will test your strength, focus and accuracy while at the same time raising awareness for water safety. We are still gathering information on this event. Check the event website for updates (grandvalleyriverfest.com).
Rubber Ducky Scramble – 3:00 - 4:30 pm:
RiversEdge West is hosting a rubber ducky scramble, and the winner will go home with an NRS paddleboard (worth $ 995)! The scramble will take place at the Butterfly Pond at Las Colonias. 1 duck starting at $20 and discounted multiple duckie package discounts. Only 400 ducks will be sold. You do not need to be present to win. Buy tickets in advance or at the event. Activities for Kids – 11:00 – 4:00 pm:
Several booths at the event will be conducting mini-interactive activities for kids and adults such as face painting, coloring, fun balancing courses, paddleboard jousting and new this year - inflatable BUMP-N-JUMPS!
GJ Adventures Shop 11:00 - 4:00pm:
Discounted gear rentals (two for the price of one).
