By purchasing a ticket and attending this event, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions, together with any reasonable event rules published in the event pack.
1. Tickets and admission
- All attendees must hold a valid ticket or other authorised admission pass for the event. Tickets must be presented when requested by the organiser. Altered, fraudulent or invalid tickets may be refused.
- Tickets are for the event specified at the time of purchase. Tickets must not be resold or transferred in a way that breaches Eventbrite's terms, applicable law or any reasonable ticket-transfer conditions published by GGC.
- GGC reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove from the event, any person whose behaviour presents a genuine risk to the safety, security or enjoyment of others, who engages in harassment or abusive behaviour, who seriously breaches these terms, or whose admission or continued attendance would be unlawful.
- Where reasonably practicable, GGC will explain the reason for refusing admission or requiring a person to leave. Any decision will be proportionate to the circumstances and will take account of applicable law and reasonable adjustments.
- No attendee may enter restricted areas, interfere with venue operations or disregard reasonable instructions issued by the event team or venue staff.
2. Age restrictions and safeguarding
- Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied and appropriately supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over, unless GGC has expressly confirmed an alternative arrangement in advance.
- Parents and guardians remain responsible for the supervision, welfare and conduct of children in their care. GGC will take reasonable steps to maintain a safe event environment but does not assume parental responsibility for attendees.
- Parents and guardians should ensure that children attending the event understand the expected standards of behaviour and comply with venue and event rules.
3. Event format and schedule
- The event will consist of three rounds of Warhammer 40,000 doubles play. Army construction, team composition, scoring, pairings, mission selection and other gameplay requirements will be detailed in the event pack.
- The applicable Games Workshop mission pack and rules documents will be identified in the event pack. GGC will communicate any relevant rules updates or event-specific rulings before the event where reasonably practicable.
- Event timings, round schedules, missions, venue arrangements and other operational details may need to change because of circumstances beyond GGC's reasonable control. GGC will communicate significant changes as soon as reasonably practicable.
- GGC will make reasonable efforts to deliver the advertised event. If the event is cancelled, rescheduled or materially changed, ticket holders will be informed of the available options and any refund or other remedies required by applicable law.
- Attendees are responsible for arriving on time, bringing the required gaming materials and familiarising themselves with the event pack before attending.
4. Behaviour and fair play
- All attendees are expected to treat fellow players, opponents, organisers, venue staff and members of the public with respect.
- Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threatening behaviour, hate speech, cheating, deliberate rule abuse and disruptive conduct will not be tolerated.
- Players must follow the event pack, applicable game rules and reasonable instructions from the organisers. Where a rules dispute arises, players should seek assistance from the event team. The organiser's event ruling will apply for the purposes of administering the event.
- Attendees must not deliberately damage miniatures, terrain, gaming equipment or another person's property.
- GGC may take proportionate action in response to misconduct, including a warning, a penalty under the event pack, removal from a game or removal from the venue. Serious incidents may result in removal without a refund where permitted by law and justified by the circumstances.
5. Venue rules, smoking and animals
- Attendees must comply with the venue's health, safety, fire safety and access requirements and follow instructions from authorised venue staff.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the venue and are permitted only in areas where they are lawful and authorised by the venue.
- Animals are not permitted unless authorised by the venue and organiser. This restriction does not apply where it would unlawfully exclude an assistance dog or otherwise conflict with applicable equality legislation.
- Attendees must use designated entrances, exits and facilities and must not obstruct fire exits, access routes or emergency equipment.
- GGC and the venue may carry out lawful and proportionate security checks where reasonably necessary for safety or security. Attendees may decline a search, but access may be refused where a search is reasonably required as a condition of entry and the refusal is justified in the circumstances.
- Venue facilities, parking arrangements and access information should be checked before travelling. Any changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
6. Health, safety and personal property
- Attendees must take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others.
- Any accident, injury, damage, safety concern or incident should be reported promptly to a member of the event team or venue staff.
- Miniatures, gaming accessories, bags, valuables and other personal belongings remain the responsibility of their owner. Attendees should take reasonable precautions to protect their property.
- GGC does not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal property except where liability arises under applicable law, including where caused by GGC's negligence or other actionable conduct.
- Attendees are responsible for damage to venue property or equipment that they cause through deliberate acts or negligent conduct, subject to applicable law.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Accessibility and reasonable adjustments
- GGC aims to make its events welcoming and accessible. Attendees who require disability-related adjustments, accessible facilities or other assistance are encouraged to contact GGC in advance so that reasonable arrangements can be discussed.
- Requests will be considered individually and in accordance with applicable law. Information about access arrangements should be requested before the event where possible, particularly where advance planning is necessary.
8. Photography, filming and privacy
- Photography and filming for personal, non-commercial use are permitted only where consistent with venue rules, the rights and privacy of other attendees, and any reasonable restrictions communicated by GGC.
- Professional, commercial or organised photography and filming require prior permission from GGC and, where appropriate, the venue.
- GGC may arrange photography or filming for event reporting, community updates and promotional purposes. Where identifiable attendees are to be used in promotional material, GGC will provide appropriate privacy information and obtain consent or establish another valid lawful basis where required. Attendees may raise concerns with the organiser and should inform the event team if they do not wish to be included in optional promotional photography.
- Any personal information collected through ticketing, event administration, accessibility requests or event photography will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Further information about how GGC handles personal data can be requested from the organiser.
9. Food and dietary requirements
- Attendees should inform GGC in advance of any dietary requirements relevant to food arrangements provided as part of the event.
- Unless expressly stated in the event listing, food and refreshments are not guaranteed to be included in the ticket price. Attendees should check the event information before travelling.
- Attendees must comply with any reasonable venue rules concerning food, drink, waste disposal and the use of catering facilities.
10. Cancellations, refunds and changes
- Please check the event date, format, location and ticket details carefully before purchasing.
- Requests to cancel a booking or obtain a refund should be made through Eventbrite or by contacting GGC, as appropriate. Refunds and cancellations will be handled in accordance with the applicable Eventbrite terms, the terms presented at purchase and applicable consumer law.
- Except where required by law or expressly provided by GGC, tickets are not refundable simply because an attendee can no longer attend, arrives late, leaves early or chooses not to participate.
- If GGC cancels the event, ticket holders will be offered the refund or other remedy required by applicable law and the applicable booking terms.
- If the event is rescheduled or materially changed, GGC will communicate the change and explain any applicable options or remedies. GGC will not use these terms to exclude any statutory right to a refund or other remedy.
- GGC may make reasonable changes to the schedule, format or arrangements where necessary to deliver the event safely and effectively. Any significant change will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
11. Costumes, props and weapons
- Costumes are permitted only where appropriate for the venue and consistent with health and safety, public decency and the comfort of other attendees.
- Real weapons, replica weapons, realistic weapon props and items that could reasonably be mistaken for weapons are not permitted.
- Military uniforms, insignia or equipment that could reasonably be understood as representing a current or recent real-world military or political organisation may be restricted where necessary to maintain safety, avoid intimidation or prevent disruption.
- Clothing, costumes or displays that promote hatred, threaten others, harass attendees or cause a serious safety or security concern are prohibited.
- GGC may require an attendee to remove or modify a costume or accessory that breaches these conditions or presents a reasonable safety, security or conduct concern.
12. Complaints and event contact
- Attendees should raise any concern or complaint with the event team as soon as reasonably practicable, ideally during the event so that GGC has an opportunity to address it.
- GGC will consider complaints fairly and take reasonable steps to resolve issues. Raising a complaint does not affect any statutory rights an attendee may have.
- For event enquiries, accessibility requests, dietary requirements or complaints, please contact Gothic Games Canterbury through its website or official Facebook page.

This event is organised independently by Gothic Games Canterbury. It is not sponsored, endorsed, affiliated with or administered by Games Workshop Limited unless expressly stated otherwise.
