About this Event
Gospel Unplugged is more than an event—it is an opportunity to serve, worship, fellowship, and help create an atmosphere where people can encounter God.
We are looking for dependable, enthusiastic, kind, and service-minded individuals to join our volunteer team for our next Gospel Unplugged event on July 31 at Roulette, 509 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, NY.
We are looking for people who have a positive and gracious attitude, are responsible and dependable, flexible, willing to adapt to change, and genuinely excited to serve in the house of the Lord.
VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT
Being a Gospel Unplugged volunteer is a commitment that begins before the event and continues after the event concludes.
REQUIRED VOLUNTEER MEETINGS
To remain in good standing as a GUNY volunteer, volunteers are expected to attend all scheduled volunteer meetings. A total of 8 meetings must be attended to remain in good standing and eligible to serve at the event.
EVENT-DAY COMMITMENT
Volunteers must:
- Commit to a minimum 5-hour shift on the event day.
- Arrive on time and prepared for their assigned shift.
- Be responsible and dependable.
- Be comfortable standing and/or moving for extended periods of time, depending on your assigned role.
- Be willing to assist wherever needed.
- Be flexible when plans or assignments change.
- Be able to travel to Roulette, 509 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, NY reliably.
- Dress appropriately and professionally for the event.
- Maintain a kind, gracious, respectful, and positive attitude toward guests, volunteers, staff, artists, and everyone you encounter.
We understand that things can change during an event. Our volunteers must be willing to adapt, take direction, and remain positive even when things do not go exactly as planned.
COMMUNICATION
All selected volunteers will be required to:
- Download Slack on their phone.
- Regularly check Slack for volunteer updates and communication.
- Regularly check their email and respond to important messages in a timely manner.
Slack and email will be our primary methods of communication. It is your responsibility to stay informed and up to date.
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION
As a thank-you for serving, every selected volunteer will receive:
- A $15 food voucher
- A Gospel Unplugged volunteer gift bag

We receive many requests from people who want to serve, but we can only accept a limited number of volunteers.

Once we review your application, we will contact you with information about joining a Sunday volunteer info session at 5:00 PM. Please make sure you provide an active email address and check your email for the session link and instructions.
