About this Event
• Phase 1: The Circle & Humming (30 mins)
• What you do: Sitting in a circle, participants emit a closed-mouth "MMM" sound (humming), focusing on the vibrations in the skull, chest, and throat.
• Why it works: Humming prolongs the exhalation and creates a mechanical vibration that directly stimulates the vagus nerve near the vocal cords. This instantly activates the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering the heart rate and preparing the mind to "receive." The circle setup amplifies group coherence and a sense of safety.
• Phase 2: Sound Healing (45 mins)
• What you do: Participants lie down in Shavasana (corpse pose), warm and comfortable, letting themselves be enveloped by the sound and frequencies of the Tibetan bowls.
• Why it works: With the body already deeply relaxed by the humming, the frequencies and rich overtones of the Tibetan bowls easily induce the brain to shift from Beta waves (alert wakefulness) to Alpha and Theta waves (deep relaxation, meditation, and dreaming). This is where cellular "rest and digest" truly takes place.
• Phase 3: Active Awakening (20 mins)
• What you do: Gentle, progressive movements followed by a more dynamic or energising breathwork.
• Why it works: This prevents the "grogginess" or disorientation that can sometimes follow a sound bath. It gently brings awareness back to the physical body, reactivates circulation, and anchors that inner peace into reality, leaving the mind clear and the body present.
Snacks and beverage will be served at the end
