Event Description
The Good Life Schools Primary Celebration Event will bring together the community of students, teachers, organisations and our fantastic partners at ASSET Education Trust who have been involved in the Schools’ Good Life School’s Primary Pilot in summer 2026. This event gives students the opportunity to share and celebrate their Good Life Projects with the local community.
The celebration event will kick off with an opening assembly for students, teachers and community members involved in the project. Children will have an opportunity to engage with immersive and interactive workshops with academic staff from University of Suffolk, Gloal Action Plan and local community partners. Guests will then be invited to browse an inspiring student-led marketplace. You’ll get the chance to visit a stall run by each of the five schools involved in the project, find out more about their Good Life Projects and their plans for the future. We’ll finish our celebration together with a closing assembly where all participating children will receive a certificate, as well as gifts for each of the teachers for guiding the children on their journeys.
You’ll discover that many of the schools have started putting their plans into action with the support of local organisations. Others are still in the planning stages. Due to the ambitious nature of school commitments, this is an on-going project which will surely continue throughout 2026/2027, especially as more schools across ASSET Education Trust participate in the next phase of Good Life Schools Pilot across the Autumn term. Whatever stage of the journey schools are at, this is a celebration of their efforts to relieve consumption pressures on children and young people and model a hopeful new way of living. Students will leave the event feeling proud, inspired and motivated to continue making changes within their school.
Our Audience
We are delighted to welcome 120 guests to the event, including:
· Students (aged 6 - 11) who have been leading the project at their school
· Teaching staff from schools involved in the project
· Staff and students from ASSET schools participating in Good Life Schools Primary during the Autumn term.
· Representatives from businesses and community organisations who have supported student projects
· #iWill Movement Representatives
Schools involved in the pilot project include ASSET Arrows, Ringshall Primary School, Ilketshall St. Lawrence Primary School, The Beeches Primary School, Flourish (SEND AP).
We recommend speaker inputs should be pitched to engage students aged 5 – 11.
