About this Event
The "good-for-her" category of stories refers to a popular pop-culture trope where a female protagonist snaps, rebels, or exacts bloody or subversive revenge against the people or group that mistreated her, originally popularized by writer Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl).
Anyone looking to craft a story in this empowering, cathartic suspense sub-genre won't want to miss this free power hour with author Christiane Erwin (Jude's Diary).
You'll learn how to torture your protagonist with injustice, expertly shift the narrative when she decides she's had enough, and write action scenes where the audience roots for her despite her moral questionability.
We'll also discuss the common pitfalls of feminist suspense and when to go full-on pink horror with your story.
So, grab your favorite writing implements and get ready to release your rage on the page!
