Good Company : Fresh ThinkingA meeting of minds to celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day
An interesting conversation can open up a possibility you hadn’t considered, introduce you to someone worth knowing or help you see an idea in a completely different light.
Good Company : Fresh Thinking brings together independently minded women who run established businesses for a morning of fresh perspectives, useful connections and practical ideas - with plenty of room for laughter and lively conversation.
Hosted by Josie Hadley, Strategic Thinking Partner and founder of Review : Reset, this is an opportunity to step away from the everyday running of your business and spend time with women who bring their own experience, judgement and curiosity to the table.
What to expect
Networking with time to get beyond introductions and discover shared interests, experiences and opportunities.
Guest speakers offering interesting perspectives and practical insights to take into your own business.
Perspective Exchange which is a facilitated session where you collectively explore an idea, opportunity or decision with a small group of fellow business owners.
Bring something you would welcome another perspective on. Perhaps you’re considering a new service, exploring a collaboration, changing how you work or wondering where to take your business next. You’ll have time to explain your thinking, hear useful questions and explore possibilities and contribute your experience to someone else’s conversation too.
We’ll ask everyone to respect the confidentiality of these conversations, so you can share openly, knowing that what’s discussed stays within your group. There’s real value in bringing women with different business experiences together: sharing what we’ve learnt, asking thoughtful questions and giving each other’s ideas proper attention. Everyone has something to contribute, and something to take away.
You can expect to leave with fresh input on your business, connections worth continuing and a clearer next step.
Who is it for?
Independently minded women who run established businesses or charities, enjoy exploring possibilities and value an honest, thoughtful exchange of ideas.
Come on your own or with another business owner. We’ll help you get involved and meet people throughout the morning.
A venue with a purpose
We’re meeting at the DY1 Centre, Dudley CVS’s community hub on Stafford Street. I wanted this event to give something back locally, and choosing DY1 means our venue and catering spending supports organisations doing valuable work in our community.
Catering is provided on site by Lunch on the Run, a registered charity and social enterprise offering training and work experience for people with learning disabilities and autistic people. Their work helps people develop practical skills, independence and opportunities for employment.
Their belief in what people can achieve with the right support is one of the reasons I chose this venue. It’s an ethos I’m pleased to support through this event.
The venue has disabled access. There is a large public car park across the road on Stafford Street, with short-stay and long-stay sections.
