Whether you're completely new to Gong playing, a wellness practitioner looking to expand your skills, or simply curious about the world of sound, Gong Foundations — Level 1 is your invitation to begin.
Join Fiona & Jacqui for an intimate, hands-on learning experience where you'll discover the fundamentals of Gong playing, explore different sounds and techniques, and develop the confidence to create your own personal Gong practice.
No musical background or prior Gong experience required!
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
🔔 Gong Foundations & Resonance
Explore the origins, characteristics and energetics of the Gong, and develop a deeper understanding of its vibrations and resonance.
🥁 Essential Playing Techniques
Learn fundamental strokes, playing areas, mallet techniques and ways to create sustained, resonant sounds.
🎶 Rhythm, Dynamics & Sound Layering
Explore rhythm, volume, swells, crescendos, space and silence to create beautiful sound journeys.
✨ Mallets & Sound Exploration
Experience different mallets and playing techniques, and discover how they influence the unique voice of the Gong.
👂 Listening & Intuition
Develop the art of deep listening and learn to trust your intuition as you explore sound.
🤍 Personal Gong Practice
Bring your new skills together to create your own short Gong meditation for personal practice.

Continue playing, experimenting and integrating what you've learned in an additional guided practice session after your training day. Session details will be arranged separately.

Two passionate Gong practitioners coming together to share their love for Gong playing and the transformative experience of sound.
Through guided demonstrations, hands-on exploration and individual support, Fiona and Jacqui will help you build a solid foundation and discover your own unique relationship with the Gong.
