About this Event
This event is intended for startup founders, innovators, researchers, investors, and others actively involved in Alberta's innovation ecosystem.
Thinking about taking your startup beyond Canada?
Canada and Alberta offer a wide range of programs, connections and resources to help companies explore international markets, but knowing what is available, who to talk to and where to start isn't always straightforward.
For this special edition of Founders Lunch, we're bringing together three experts representing provincial, federal and local organizations that support Canadian companies on their international growth journey.
Presenters:
- Jeff Hohn, Trade Commissioner, Trade Commissioner Service, Government of Canada
- Nathan Andrew Nelson, Director, Trade and Export Expansion, Government of Alberta
- Shayne van der Meer, Specialist, Trade Programs, Calgary Economic Development
Each speaker will give a short presentation introducing the resources, programs and support available through their organization and sharing practical insights on how founders can access them.
Following the presentations, all three speakers will come together for an audience Q&A, giving founders the opportunity to ask questions specific to their companies and international growth plans.
