World War II reduced Japan to zero, and Godzilla plunged it into minus. The year is 1949. Two years have passed since the events of Godzilla Minus One, and Japan has faced agonizing struggles to achieve recovery and finally reclaim its daily life. Just as humanity managed to cling to a hard-won peace, a new threat strikes, crushing hope in an instant. The newly formed Shikishima family, still bearing the mental and physical toll of the first showdown with Godzilla, must rally alongside the rest of the country to face this fresh catastrophe and ensure a future not only for Japan, but for the entire world. There is no third time—everything ends here.
Godzilla Minus One made history for being the first Godzilla film to win an Oscar (Best Visual Effects), and said Oscar-winning writer/director/VFX lead Takashi Yamazaki—and Godzilla—are back with a jaw-dropping, tremendously exhilarating sequel. No matter what type of Godzilla fan you are, you won't want to miss this one! "With devastating human drama and earth-shaking kaiju action, Godzilla Minus Zero ups the ante in every way from its predecessor—and is easily one of the best films of the year."—Molly Edwards, Total Film.
