Goddess Craft - The Dark GoddessAs we move toward Samhain and deeper into the dark half of the year, Goddess Craft turns toward the Dark Goddess.
But what does that term actually mean?
“Dark Goddess” is often used as though it describes one kind of deity or one spiritual role. In reality, the goddesses grouped beneath that label come from very different cultures and traditions, and they embody very different relationships with death, winter, rage, sovereignty, prophecy, endings, destruction, and the unknown.
This month, we’ll spend time with Ereshkigal, The Cailleach, The Morrígan, Sekhmet, and Hel, exploring the different ways they hold the darker parts of human experience.
This is not about romanticizing darkness.
It is about learning to sit beside what is real — grief, anger, aging, mortality, boundaries, endings, and the unknown — and asking:
What part of myself have I been taught to call “dark” simply because it made someone else uncomfortable?
Each Goddess Craft gathering stands on its own, so there is never a need to catch up. Simply come as you are and join the conversation.
