About this Event
Yes, real goats. Yes, on yoga mats. Yes, it's as fun as you think it'll be.
Welcome to Goat Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto. This is the class that started life as a viral video and turned out to be even better in person.
Here's the honest pitch. Goat yoga isn't really about advancing your practice. It's about laughing through tree pose because a goat just headbutted your shin, looking up mid-stretch to see another one casually walking across the room like it owns the place, and discovering that goats have absolutely no concept of personal space and zero interest in respecting your downward dog. It's joyful chaos with a yoga mat under it, and it's exactly what your week needs.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga with goats wandering freely around the room
- 25 minutes of pure goat time, with petting, photos, and the occasional surprise hoof on your back
Why people keep coming back
Goat yoga in Toronto does something a regular yoga class can't, and what it does isn't subtle. The goats wander, climb, headbutt, and occasionally try to nibble your hair, and somewhere in the middle of all that, you realize you haven't thought about your inbox in forty-five minutes. Studies show that time with animals lowers stress and lifts mood. Goat yoga adds a third thing to that list: it makes you laugh out loud, in a room full of strangers, in a way you probably haven't done in a while.
A note on the goats
Our goats are friendly, social, and very used to people. They've done this many times. Some of them will make a beeline for you the moment class starts, others will saunter around investigating mats, water bottles, and the occasional shoelace. They're curious, they're confident, and they have opinions. Don't be surprised if one decides your back is the perfect place to stand for a minute. (This is a real possibility. People have photos.)
A few good-to-knows
Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty or hoof-printed. This is a fun class, not a fashion class.
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 needs to come with a parent or guardian, and grown-ups are responsible for helping their little ones move calmly and handle the goats with care. The goats are gentle but they're stronger than they look, so the vibe is "calm energy, kind hands, everyone gets a turn."
Mats provided. No experience needed. Just show up ready to do yoga in a room full of goats, which is a sentence you probably never imagined writing about your Saturday.
