Bikepacking curious? Or already in love with bikepacking and stoked to share another adventure? 🚲⛺Come join us for a super approachable GO Fest S24O Bikepacking adventure! An S24O — Sub 24-Hour Overnight — is one of the easiest ways to experience the fun of traveling and camping by bike without committing to a huge trip.
This mini bikepacking adventure is designed to be a gentle, beginner-friendly introduction to overnight adventures by bicycle. We’re riding just 7.5 miles from GO Fest Basecamp at Elmwood Park to GO Fest Outpost at Explore Park, where we’ll set up camp, hang out, and enjoy the evening together.
Before we roll out, join the 5:30 PM “GO by Bike” Fireside Chat for a fun conversation about using bicycles for transportation, everyday adventures, and getting around by bike.
Then at 6:30 PM, our S24O adventure begins! We’ll load up, roll out of Elmwood Park, make our way to Explore Park, camp overnight, wake up the next morning, pack up, and ride back.
Never bikepacked before? Perfect. You do not need fancy equipment, years of experience, or a perfectly dialed setup. If you’re wondering what bike to bring, how to carry your gear, what to pack, how camping works, or anything else, just comment or post in this event. We’re happy to help you get ready.
Experienced bikepackers are absolutely encouraged to come too — especially if you’re excited to share the fun, help new riders feel welcome, and squeeze another little adventure into GO Fest weekend.
