Glass Seahorse and Sea Star Workshop
Join Melbourne Beach artist, Delynn Ellis, for a Make-Your-Own-Glass Seahorse and Sea Star workshop-make both in one class-at the Barrier Island Center!
In this creative class, offered by Glass by Delynn Creations, students will choose their own colors and design a fused glass seahorse and sea star (each approximately 3”-4”). You’ll learn the fundamentals of glass cutting and designing while exploring the fascinating process of glass fusing—the art of arranging artglass pieces and melting them together in a kiln at extremely high temperatures to create something amazing!
Cost:
- Class-Free
- Materials: $40 (cash collected the day of class)
No experience is necessary! Space is limited to 18 students. Each forming mold will be shared by two students. All student creations will be fired off-site in a kiln and will be available for pickup at the Barrier Island Center the following week or delivered to you with prepaid shipping.
Family-Friendly:
Children are welcome to participate when accompanied by a parent who is also taking the class.
You can choose to add onto your seahorse/sea star by turning them into an ornaments, garden stakes, napkin weights, or framed art. Optional supplies for these enhancements can be purchased in class. For more information contact [email protected].
