This new class offering is taught by in house artist, Donna Smit. She will guide students in creating a Peace Wreath using scraps of glass, measuring approximately 10” in circumference. Students will learn to cut glass and use nippers to create small petals for the flowered design. Embellishments such as millefiori and baubles from Donna's personal collection can be added. Each wreath will also incorporate fusible glass bails so that a wire hanger can be added after it has been fired. These beauties can be placed indoor or outdoors and make perfect gifts. The projects require kiln firing, so they will be ready for pick up the following week, just in time for holiday gift giving! Our Glass Fusion workshops are typically 3 hours, but due to scale and complexity, allow 4 to 4-1/2 hours. This is a beginner level class, but seasoned students will enjoy learning new techniques.This Peace Wreath was an inspiration from our current events leading into the holidays. ☮️
Class size is limited to eight students. This class is for Ages 15+. Please wear shoes that fully cover your feet (No Sandals or Flipflops)
