As Glasgow's population exploded through the 19th century, so there followed a boom in theatres and music venues. These ranged from the grandest, such as The Theatre Royal and the fabled Alhambra to the most utilitarian of working-class music halls. John Short's family was part of that growth. Hear the stories from 'the horse's mouth'... no, not the panto horse!!
Visitors are welcome to come along. Entry is £8 per talk. Should you chose to join the Old Glasgow Club, this will be deducted from the annual membership fee of £35.
