Harvest of Hope: Gather & Give Packs
The Harvest of Hope program is a true lifeline for our Brevard County community, bringing together neighbors to tackle food insecurity through its Gather & Give Packs. These packs support low-income families, seniors, veterans, foster families, single parents, and those facing homelessness.
How We Create the Gather & Give Packs
We collect food through community food drives, and then over 500 volunteers come together to assemble the bags, which are delivered throughout the community. Each pack contains essential items to create a complete Thanksgiving meal, including gift cards for protein, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, canned yams, cream of mushroom soup, boxed stuffing, crispy fried onions, cornbread mix, mini marshmallows, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and boxed brownies or dessert. These nutritious meals not only fill bellies but also build connections and lift spirits within our community.
