Girls Inc. of Orange County’s 4th Annual InfluenceHER Summit
A day of conversation, connection, and new possibilities awaits at Girls Inc. of Orange County’s 4th annual InfluenceHER Summit on Saturday, October 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Santa Ana College. Open to youth ages 12–18, the summit brings together students, community leaders, and professionals for a full day of programming focused on career exploration, personal strengths, college, and more.
The day begins with welcome remarks from Girls Inc. of Orange County CEO Lucy Santana and Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua, followed by a keynote presentation from Lesley Marin, KCAL News Anchor and Reporter. Throughout the morning, attendees can take part in workshops including Power in Every Career, Your Voice, Your Strengths, Your Success, and Girls Inc.-led sessions such as College Is for You, CTRL Your Scroll: Safe Online, and Family, College, and You.
The afternoon continues with a lunch and resource fair before a panel moderated by Mayor Valerie Amezcua. Panelists include Justine Mills, Jury Coordinator for the Orange County Superior Courts; Shirin Behzadi, author, CEO, and entrepreneur; and Christina Romero, Executive Director of the Office of College Advancement at Santa Ana College Foundation.
With opportunities to hear from accomplished professionals, explore different paths, and connect with community resources, the InfluenceHER Summit offers a day for young people to learn, ask questions, and think about where their own strengths and interests can take them.
