This come & go event shares aviation with girls ages 8-17, along with families/teachers/scout leaders! Boys are welcome to attend too!About this Event
Planned events include:
- Career panel with multiple female aviation professionals (career panel session suggested for ages 12+ and is planned for 10:30-11:15)
- Hands-on lab project working with sheet metal
- Phonetic alphabet art projects
- Learn airplane controls and preflight a real airplane
- Use tools to practice disassembling/assembling aircraft components
- Airplane, helicopter, and engine scavenger hunt
- Weather exploration lab
- Fly a flight simulator (space permitting)
- Tours of the Abbott Aviation Center facility and opportunities to learn about Dual Credit courses & scholarships
- Meet a female pilot and learn about flying
