GIRLS GET INTO GOLF – WARWICKSHIREA free golf experience giving girls aged 8–16 the opportunity to discover golf for the very first time.
On Thursday 29 October, Girls Get Into Golf is coming to Heart of England School, Balsall Common, led by the Warwickshire County Ladies and supported by SKRATCH GOLF.
The aim is simple: to introduce more girls across Warwickshire to golf and show them that the sport can be fun, social and accessible.
This event has been created specifically for girls who have never played before or have very limited experience.
There is no need to be a member of a golf club, no equipment is required and there is no expectation that participants already know how to play.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each participant will take part in a 90-minute experience, rotating through a series of fun golf activities including:
Golf Simulator Games
Using modern golf simulator technology, participants will be able to hit shots and take on interactive games and challenges.
Chipping Challenges
A fun introduction to one of golf's key skills through games and target-based activities.
Putting Challenges
Easy-to-understand putting games designed to get everyone involved, regardless of ability.
The emphasis throughout the event is on having fun, trying something new and building confidence rather than technical coaching or competition.

MORE THAN A ONE-DAY EVENT
We want this first experience to open the door to something more.
The Warwickshire County Ladies are supporting the initiative as part of the drive to generate greater interest and participation in girls' golf across Warwickshire.
For girls who enjoy the day and would like to continue playing, we want to provide a clear pathway into local golf clubs, junior sections, coaching and other opportunities across Warwickshire.
The event also gives parents the opportunity to learn more about what is available locally and how their daughter can continue playing after the day.
HELP US REACH MORE GIRLS
Schools, teachers, sports organisations, golf clubs and businesses across Warwickshire – we'd really appreciate your support.
Please share the event with parents, guardians and anyone with a daughter aged 8–16 who might enjoy trying something completely new this October half term.
With only 72 free places available, advance booking is essential.
