The Bronx-based nonprofit Girl Vow will host a free, youth-led community event at La Central YMCA to help empower young women and girls to drive systemic change. This event will open the dialogue to the rest of the community to help bridge the gap in sexual violence prevention and the resources that exist. It will feature inspirational speakers with first-hand stories, an opportunity to share opinions, and encourage attendees to use their voices in an interactive Q&A session.
Girl Vow is supported by more than 50 community partners across The Bronx. These businesses display the Girl Vow symbol in their window, making them easily identifiable to those who are seeking a variety of resources.
