About this Event

Come outside, bring your feelings, your friendship stories, and your scissors too.

This month’s Girl, Read This book club is centered around Alexandra Elle’s The Company We Keep, a beautiful exploration of friendship, connection, honesty, and what it means to grow alongside the people we love.

We’ll talk about the friendships that hold us, the ones we’ve outgrown, the boundaries we’ve had to learn, and the ways we can become better friends, not only to others, but to ourselves.

Workshop Vibe: Junk Journaling the Company We Keep

After our discussion, we’re taking those conversations to the page.

Think:

  • The friendships that feel like home
  • What you need to feel safe and seen
  • Relationships you’ve outgrown
  • Boundaries, honesty, and choosing yourself
  • The kind of community you want around you

Using magazines, words, textures, affirmations, photos, and other materials, you’ll create junk journal pages inspired by the relationships and community you want to carry with you.

What to Expect:
  • Guided discussion on The Company We Keep
  • Junk journaling workshop + materials provided
  • Light bites
  • Good conversation with women thinking deeply about friendship, growth, and connection

Come ready to reflect on the company you keep and the kind of company you want to be.
