Our annual Girl Power event is back, and this year is going to be our best yet! Moms and daughters will spend the afternoon learning practical financial literacy and building confidence through self-defense, plus creating a hands-on craft to take home together — all designed to empower the next generation of strong women.
This year we're gathering at Salt & Acres — a 45-acre vineyard and farm just outside Fort Lupton, with an elevated boho-chic feel that's honestly unlike anywhere else. Think sprawling vineyard views and warm, welcoming spaces made for slowing down and being present. It's the kind of setting that makes the whole afternoon feel like a retreat, not just an event.
A look at the afternoon:
- Sip specialty mocktails and snack on charcuterie while you wait for your mother-daughter photo shoot
- Head out to the lawn for a self-defense session with Allison Bosworth
- Move inside for golden hour flatbreads and salad while learning investment tips with Ash Afable
- Wrap up the day with a fun, hands-on craft to take home
Also returning this year, @ashleecrowden Ashlee Crowden will once again be joining us to capture beautiful professional mother-daughter portraits set against the natural beauty of the venue. These photos become more meaningful with each passing year, and as part of your registration, you'll receive complimentary digital photos ($200 value) to help preserve this special season together.
Back by popular demand! Allison Bosworth @strongisbeautiful is returning after last year's favorite session to teach women and girls practical, confidence-building techniques for staying aware, recognizing potential threats, and learning simple, effective self-defense moves that could help protect you before a situation ever happens.
New this year, Ash Afable linkedin.com/in/ashafable will be leading our financial empowerment session, giving moms and daughters hands-on tools to build a stronger financial future together. She'll break down why saving alone isn't enough — and why learning to invest early is one of the most powerful things a girl can do for her future self. From understanding how money grows to building smart habits now, this session leaves you both with real, actionable tools you can start using right away.

*Age Recommendation: While we recommend this event for girls ages 12 and up, every child is different. As a mom, you'll know whether your daughter is ready to understand and participate in the self-defense and financial literacy discussions. We kindly ask that all attendees be at least 9 years old.
