As summer ends, the chill of fall begins to hover, and with it, the whispers of Albany’s haunted past awaken. Join us for a spine-tingling night of ghost walk adventure! Mark your calendars and invite your bravest friends for an evening of frightful exercise.
Ghost Walk Highlights
👻 Walking Tour: Your ghost guide will lead you through the shadowy corners of the Monteith Historic District and the Historic Business District in downtown Albany, sharing eerie tales of the town's haunted history.
🏚 Candlelit Finale: The tour concludes with an exclusive tour of the Monteith House, Albany's oldest and most haunted home. Feel the chill as you walk through rooms that have witnessed centuries of eerie events.
Practical Information
👟 Preparation: The walking portion of the tour covers approximately one mile, so please wear comfortable walking shoes. Tours last about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Tour Dates:
Friday, October 30 tours begin at 6:00pm, 7:00pm, 8:00pm, and 9:00pm
Saturday, October 31 tours begin at 2:00pm
Prices: Adults: $15, Children (under 18): $10

Future Ghostly Experiences Offered by the Monteith Historical Society:
Trolley of Terror: Board the trolley to ride in style as a guide recounts terrifying tales of unexplainable encounters in the downtown Albany area of more than 25 locations. After the trolley tour, you will be invited inside the Monteith House to hear some of the more chilling ghostly tails that have been experienced within its walls. (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes)
VIP Experience: Perhaps you are of stouter heart than others and crave the opportunity to experience your own paranormal encounter. Our VIP Experience is for you! A small group of visitors will take part in a paranormal investigation in the Monteith House and gain experience using a variety of ghost hunting equipment. (approximately 2 hours 30 minutes)
Carriage of Shadows: Dare to ride the Carriage of Shadows. Journey by horse-drawn wagon through Albany’s haunted downtown as your guide shares eerie tales from over 15 ghostly sites. The tour ends inside the historic Monteith House, where the most chilling encounters are revealed. (approximately 1 hour and 15 miuntes)
This is a fundraiser to help support Monteith Historical Society's mission to continue to preserve Albany's first frame house and its collection of pioneer artifacts, as well as provide educational opportunities for the public.

To preserve the experience for all guests and protect the privacy of our guides and participants, video and audio recording during the Monteith House events is strictly prohibited.
Photography is allowed, but we kindly ask that it does not disrupt the event or block walkways.
