Step back in time and uncover the hidden tales of Martinsville-Henry County's most notable residents with the MHC Historical Society's Ghost Walk! This family-friendly and informative (but not scary) stroll is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on both Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10, with tours conducted every 15 minutes.
Embark on a journey through historic West Main Street, Moss Street North, West Church Street and Bridge Street North, where guided groups will encounter "ghosts" who’ll share the rich history of the community. Tours will begin and conclude at the Historic Martinsville-Henry County Heritage Museum, guided by knowledgeable Historical Society members.
Space is limited; reserve your spot for at www.mhchistoricalsociety.org. The tour is family-friendly and informative. The brave (or foolhardy) may choose to top off the tour with the optional Haunted Courthouse.
Admission is free, and donations are requested, to help the Historical Society continue its mission of sharing the fascinating story of Martinsville and Henry County’s past and preserving our rich historical resources.
