Ghost Hunting at elmwood house
Are you brave enough to investigate Elmwood House after dark?
Join Kindred Spirit Investigations for a paranormal investigation inside one of Stockton-on-Tees' fascinating historic Victorian properties. Dating back to the 1870s, Elmwood House has witnessed more than 150 years of changing families, fortunes and local history – but are some of its former occupants still making their presence known?
Once a grand private residence, Elmwood House was home to several prominent local families, including the Dodshons, Pearces and Spences, whose stories connect the property with Stockton's rich shipbuilding and industrial heritage. The house has also been associated with Colonel Harold Kitching, Olympic gold medallist and former High Sheriff of Durham, before later becoming associated with ICI and eventually serving the local community.
Today, however, Elmwood House is becoming known for something altogether more mysterious.
Why Investigate elmwood house?
Reported paranormal activity isn't confined to just one room. Unexplained experiences have been reported throughout the building, making Elmwood House an exciting location for a full paranormal investigation.
The corridors are considered a particular hotspot, where investigators may find themselves questioning whether the footsteps behind them really belong to another member of the group.
Reported and experienced paranormal phenomena include:
Unexplained footsteps travelling along otherwise empty corridors
Voices heard when nobody else appears to be present
The voices of women and children captured or heard by experienced investigators
Shadowy figures and unexplained movement
Unusual sounds with no immediately identifiable source
Sudden changes in atmosphere in different areas of the building
The unsettling sensation of being watched or accompanied
Children are said to remain within the building, while seasoned paranormal investigators have reported hearing the voices of both women and children during investigations.
Who are they? Former residents of Elmwood House? Visitors from another chapter in the building's history? Or could there be a completely ordinary explanation for what investigators experience?
There's only one way to form your own opinion.
The Paranormal investigations is provided for your entertainment purposes only.
