Guided paranormal investigation at Pleasley Pit, NottinghamshireSunk in the 1870s Pleasley Pit produced coal until 1983. Now operates as a heritage museum and celebrates its industrial past.
We have been given access to the Heritage Centre surface buildings including engine house, and winder . Note there is no access below ground.
Coming from a mining museum background, we find industrial historical sites fascinating especially with its rich social history.
Retired Pleasley Miners now volunteering at the old pit as well as site staff have witnessed and experienced some strange phenomena. Such as cold blasts of air, witnessed doors mysteriously opening un aided. Also reports of hearing disembodied voices echoing through the building and a feeling that they are not alone and very much watched!
This is a NEW venue for us October 2026.
