Getting to the Roots is an interactive workshop that moves diasporic history out from behind glass cases and into the direct, sensory engagement of visitors' hands. Centred on Chigware, the ancestral Abagusii stone-carving philosophy, this session demonstrates how generational memory, labor, and utility travel across oceans and continue to live in the Bay Area.
