About this Event
Two fun, creative, playwriting workshops led by award-winning dramatist John Binnie. Taking Agatha Christie's M**der mysteries as a jumping off point, come along and create characters, monologues and locations that wouldn't be out of place in one of the 66 detective whodunnits by the Queen of crime. Whether its on an exotic cruise, a vicarage, a stately home, a den of iniquity or a snow-bound train, let your imagination run free and upend expectations as we explore disguise, intrigue, subterfuge and outrageousness. Let's explore characters who will stop at nothing to get their hands on last wills and testaments, or take revenge on ill-fated love affairs.
No previous writing experience is necessary, just a willingness to be creative and share your stories with the group.
Development workshops take place over two consecutive weeks in the Mitchell Library on Saturday 7th November and Saturday 14th November, 2:30-4:00pm. Participants must be able to attend both sessions.
