About this Event
Brighton Circle Music is a joyful gathering of voices, rhythms and shared imagination. Directed by Fernando Machado and Hannah Dunster, the group is inspired by circle music traditions that celebrate improvisation, playfulness and the magic of people creating together. Sessions weave vocal harmonies, body percussion and a colourful toolkit of sounds into an experience that feels energising, freeing and full of fun.
Fernando and Hannah each bring over 20 years of experience as musicians and educators, shaped by their creative education teaching work at the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and by two decades of work across diverse community music settings – from mental health programmes to family music-making and creative health projects.
Their shared belief is simple: music belongs to everyone.
Brighton Circle Music is a place where beginners, seasoned musicians and curious newcomers can all step into the circle, feel welcome, and discover the joy of making music together.
