Session Overview:
Working in partnership with Cumbernauld Library Writers Group we'll go for a walk around Palacerigg Country Park and try our hand at getting creative.
Have you ever been moved by a piece of nature writing? Or read something and thought “I could do that…”. Ever wanted to stretch your creative mind, but not been sure how? Or are you already a writer but looking for people to work and collaborate with, and natural spaces to inspire you.
We'll be led on this session by David Taylor (writing as Don J Taylor) and Anne V McClure from Cumbernauld Library Writer's Group who will guide us through some simple outdoor creative writing exercises on the theme of nature and balance.
These walks are suitable for anyone (18+), everyone has a story inside them, you just have to let it out!
Extra Info:
- Anne V McClure has had poems published in anthologies and collections and short stories longlisted and runner up in competitions.
- David Taylor, writing as Don J Taylor, has had short fiction and poetry published in anthologies and his work has been placed in a number of competitions.
- No experience necessary and all equipment provided - come and get creative!
- This is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately for the weather.
Cancellation
This event will be weather dependant. If we need to cancel, we will notify all attendees on the morning of the event via email. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather.
If you can no longer attend the event, please let us know. You can do this by cancelling your ticket, or sending us an email. This helps us keep track of who to expect, and whether we need to wait for anyone who is running late.
