Come watch or participate in a grip strength competition benefitting SEA Literacy, which provides tutoring, literacy and mentoring services to refugee children in the Milwaukee area.
3 Lifts, each with a different Arm Assassin Strength Shop handle on a loading pin. $10 to compete in all three lifts, $5 for per lift for people who decide they want to try one of them. Register in advance or day of event.
Grip events will be on Arm Assassin handles; 2” rolling single arm deadlift, 2” pinch block, 2” vertical cannon (hilt). Rising bar/weight for each lift; competitors will have 30 seconds to attempt the weight. Competitor must demonstrate lockout of the knees, with legs straight and torso upright for the lift to count and will receive a down command from a judge. Competitors may take unlimited attempts until they miss a lift, at which point they are out. Competitors may skip weight jumps and make attempts with whatever hand they chose. Minimum 2.5lb weight jumps between attempts, starting weight will depend on competitors, can be as low as 10lbs. Total weight lifted for all three events will be added together, highest total wins.
