BERKSHIRE’S YOUNG PERFORMERS BRING GERSHWIN’S CRAZY FOR YOU TO ASCOT THIS AUTUMN
Ocean Theatre Company returns to the BritVic Theatre at LVS Ascot this October with Gershwin’s CRAZY FOR YOU, the award-winning musical comedy packed with classic songs, spectacular dance numbers and talented young performers from across Berkshire.
Running from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, the production features Ocean’s performers aged 14 to 19, supported by a live orchestra and full theatrical production.
With music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by Ken Ludwig, CRAZY FOR YOU won both the Tony Award and Olivier Award for Best Musical.
Set in the 1930s, the story follows Bobby Child, a young New York banker who dreams of performing on Broadway. Sent to Nevada to foreclose on a struggling theatre, he falls for the owner’s daughter, Polly Baker, and decides to put on a show to save the theatre and win her heart.
The result is a fast-moving comedy filled with romance, mistaken identities, cowboys, showgirls and some of the Gershwins’ best-known songs, including I Got Rhythm, Someone to Watch Over Me, Embraceable You and Nice Work If You Can Get It.
