The Hurley Park Advisory Board and Salisbury Parks and Recreation are excited to present Gerry Hurley's Butterfly Release on Sunday, October 11th at 2 pm. The event has been renamed in honor of Gerry Hurley and her love of butterflies. Gerry delighted in the children's awe of the event and the Advisory Board felt this was a fitting way to celebrate her memory and dedication to Hurley Park.
Join us to experience that magic firsthand! All-A-Flutter Farms will teach attendees about the butterfly life cycle before hand-releasing 50 Monarchs and 50 Painted Lady butterflies, offering a chance for attendees to interact with them. The Hurley Park Advisory Board will be distributing Milkweed plants to attendees on a first-come, first serve basis.
The event will be held at the Annex Section of Hurley Park; the large green space across from City Lake. The butterfly release begins at 2 pm, sharp!
