George Acosta is a pioneering DJ, producer, and remixer whose career has spanned more than two decades of dance music evolution. Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Acosta rose from the South Florida club scene to international recognition with Planet Soul and the Gold-certified hit “Set U Free.” He later became one of the defining figures of Miami’s trance movement through his legendary residency at Shadow Lounge, while releasing acclaimed original productions and compilations for labels including Ultra Records, Ministry of Sound, Strictly Rhythm, and Black Hole Recordings. His career has taken him to some of the world’s most renowned festivals and clubs, including Ultra Music Festival, Berlin’s Love Parade, Space Miami, Pacha, Privilege, and many more.
Known for constantly evolving while maintaining his signature emotional and energetic sound, Acosta has successfully moved through house, trance, progressive house, and modern electronic music while building a lasting international following. His accomplishments include being voted DJ Times’ America’s Best DJ in 2007, earning a degree in Sound Engineering and Audio Technology, launching his own AcoMusic label, and hosting his long-running Lost World radio show on SiriusXM. Through decades of touring, producing, remixing, and connecting with audiences around the world, George Acosta has established himself as a true legacy artist whose passion, versatility, and ability to command a dance floor continue to define his career.
