Join us as we explore the countries, cultures, people, and natural wonders of Southern Europe & MediterraneanStudents will choose **one country** to research and prepare a short, fun presentation to share with the group. Please post the country in the comments/discussion section so we can get a variety of countries from each region each week.
Your student's project can highlight:
🗺️ Location & Geography
🗣️ Language
⛪ Religion
🏛️ Important Landmarks & History
🌋 Natural Wonders
📚 Interesting Facts
🎨 Culture & Traditions
Presentations are encouraged but not required—you can still attend, participate, and learn even if you don't have a project prepared!
🍽️ FOOD CHALLENGE!
Families are encouraged to bring a **food or dish from one of the countries being researched** to share with the group. It can be something simple or as ambitious as you'd like! This is a great way to experience the culture through food and discover something new together. 🌮🥥🍍
Students will also:
🎤 Have an opportunity to share what they learned with their peers
🏆 Participate in our **Top Cartographer Challenge** to see who can identify the most countries from memory
🗺️ Work on a map of the region
🏛️ Work together on a game to highlight some of the landmarks in that section of the world
📖 Earn a passport stamp for completing the region
👨👩👧👦 Parents Encouraged To Stay!
We invite parents to stay during the co-op event and help us create a positive, encouraging experience for all of our students.
🌎Passport Stamps: We will have passports for students to get the stamp from that week. See how many stamps you can get this school year as we explore the world together! 🌎✈️
Please Note: We are currently waiting for final approval from the library regarding the meeting location
