Originally from Ireland and living in Australia for three decades, ANNE CASEY is an internationally award-winning poet/writer, and author of six poetry collections. President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins commended Anne’s sixth book, 'Seang' (Hungering) as “an important contribution to a vital conversation on hunger, migration and displacement”.
Anne has worked for over 30 years as a journalist, magazine editor, media communications director and legal author. Her writing is widely published, ranking in The Irish Times’ Most Read. Her poetry has been translated into more than 40 languages. In 2025, her poem, ‘Love in a time of chaos’ was delivered to the moon on the NASA/Firefly Blue space mission.
Anne’s recent awards include American Writers Review Prize, New York City Big Book Award, Henry Lawson Prize for Poetry, American Association of Australasian Literary Studies Poetry Prize and iWoman Global Award for Literature. She holds a PhD in poetics of resistance from the University of Technology Sydney where she teaches creative writing.
MOYA PACEY’s third collection, 'Doggerland' (Recent Work Press 2020) was Highly Commended in 2021 Australian Capital Territory Book of the Year Awards. Her poetry has been published in Australia and overseas and has featured on buses and radio, in galleries and has appeared in print and online journals and anthologies and won prizes. She was a founding editor of the women’s on-line journal, Not Very Quiet notveryquiet.com. and was awarded a Canberra Critics’ Circle Award in 2019. In October 2018, she was the Poet in Residence at the Elizabeth Bishop House in Great Village, Nova Scotia, Canada.
