NEW DATE: Come along to Frank Kitts Park and join others in a fun, whānau-friendly afternoon of AI-free activities and community building.Generative AI is being forced upon us by Big Tech companies chasing profit. Many Governments and workplaces are lapping it up, despite mounting evidence that generative AI has serious social, environmental and ethical implications. This community event is a chance to enjoy time together in an AI-free space, and to share practical ideas and opportunities to resist this technology. There’ll be art, music, games, a few short informative talks, and collaborative and creative ways to share what worries you most about generative AI while centring human creativity and potential. Feel free to bring along a picnic blanket, water bottle, some snacks and your reusable cups! Kai and refreshments will be available.
