Join us and guest speaker Tim Howat, author of numerous children’s books, will present “How to Self-Publish Children’s Books” at 10 a.m. on Sept. 30 at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie. This event is free and open to the public. His children’s books include: “Congratulations! You’ve Ruined Christmas,” “B’Fore S’mores,” “Always a Bridesmaid,” “I Love the Smell of Cardboard in the Morning” and “Trademark.” During the meeting, volunteers can sign up to help with the next Big Book Sale, from Oct. 23-25, at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner.
