Genealogy Lunch and Learn: City DirectoriesThursday, October 15th, 2026 at 12:00pm at Main (321 N Main Street, Davenport, IA)
We invite you to join us for our monthly Genealogy Lunch and Learn, where we delve deeper into family history topics. Each month, we will explore a variety of topics to give you additional tools to find your ancestors.
This month, we are learning about the value of city directories in genealogy research. Fill in the 10 years between census reports or find residency records before 1950 by using city directories. You may find their occupation, their neighbors, and possible employers. You may also find the history and layout of the community where they lived.
Please bring your own lunch. Water and dessert will be provided.
