MAURITIUS: THE GEEK RENAISSANCE HAS ARRIVED.On Saturday, August 1st, we are making history at the Institut Français de Maurice (IFM). GeekinCon 2026 is more than a convention—it is a professionalized industry summit designed to bridge the gap between Gen Z digital creators and the "Millennial Parents" who started it all.
From high-stakes gaming to provocative tech debates and the energy of a live concert, step into a multi-zone experience unlike anything the island has ever seen.
? WHAT’S HAPPENING? (THE FIVE PILLARS)
?️ LA FABRIK (The Doritos Tech Arena):
Our massive gaming hub! Experience VR with Oculus Quests, high-performance PS5 stations, retro Street Fighter arcade battles, and a showcase of Mauritian-made games from local dev studios.
? THE AGORA (Craft Village & Professional Hub):
The heartbeat of the con. Discover our Artist Alley featuring 20+ local illustrators and crafters, and visit our Professional Hub to meet industry leaders in animation and tech.
? THE INTELLECTUAL SUMMIT (Amphitheatre & Mediatheque):
High-level conferences to professionalize the industry:
Flagship: "The Geek Renaissance" with artist Evan Sohun.
Innovation: "AI & The Creator" with pioneers Fish John, Nicola Gaiser, and Guillaume Silavant
The Living Page: A dedicated literature track in the Mediatheque with authors Amarnath Hosany, Yianna Amodine, and Clémence Soupe.
? COMPETITIONS & LIVE SHOWS:
Our first-ever Cosplay Competition (handmade excellence on stage!)
Just Dance 2026 Showdown (Main stage tournament)
TCG Arena: Competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments in the Mediatheque.
? THE FINALE:
We close the night in the Amphitheatre with a headline Geek Rock Concert, bridging the gap between modern hits and 80s/90s classics.
