GEE LEE turned a bootleg into a career. "Coke & Rum" went out as an underground edit and ended up Silver certified with over 185 million streams, and the North Londoner has not slowed down since. He works in the overlap between UK garage and house, with a melodic instinct he traces back to Peven Everett and Chet Baker rather than to anything on a dancefloor. His sets move freely between tempos and rarely stay in one lane for long.
"Fast Life" with India Shan has passed 64 million streams. "WOW," from 2022, sits at 12.2 million. Behind them are more than two million monthly listeners, radio support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and KISS FM, and co-signs from Tiffany Calver, Yung Singh and Zack Bia. He has recorded mixes for Radio 1, Rinse FM and NTS, and his following has been strong enough to sell out rooms across Europe and Australia.
JACK MARLOW [US DEBUT]
Jack Marlow started out in Liverpool making trap and hip hop beats. Then George Fitzgerald's "Child" sent him headfirst into house and UK garage, and he took the vocal instinct with him. His records roll on bass and swing, somewhere between Disclosure's Settle and what he calls an unhealthy amount of Mall Grab. He is one of the few in the current UK wave who never dropped the rap and R&B side of it.
"East Side" with Jaish has passed 4.5 million streams, and 1.6 million monthly listeners have followed him through releases on FLAT 22 and Disorder Records. He has played Boomtown, the Concourse Room at Depot Mayfield, and a hometown set at Baltic Weekender, and he has headlined Night Tales Loft. October 10th is his first show in the United States.
