🎂🛼 GOLDEN CITY ROLLERS IS TURNING 16! 🛼🎂Sixteen years of hip-checks, hard knocks, big wins and even bigger hearts. Now it’s time to celebrate with a Super Sweet Sixteenth Birthday Party!
Back in 2010, roller derby made its debut on the African continent right here in Johannesburg. What started as C-Max Roller Derby — a small, DIY, punk-rock crew with a whole lot of attitude — grew into Golden City Rollers, one of Africa’s longest-running and most accomplished roller derby leagues.
From our first games on the track to international victories, World Cup appearances, tournaments and countless unforgettable moments, 16 years of derby is worth celebrating. 💥
And we’re doing it properly.
