Dallas Bears and S4 Announce Gayborhood Community Rummage SaleDALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Bears are proud to announce a partnership with S4 to host the Gayborhood Community Rummage Sale, bringing nonprofit organizations, community groups, neighbors, and treasure hunters together for a day of sustainable shopping, fundraising, and community connection in the heart of Dallas’ LGBTQ+ Gayborhood.
The event will take place Saturday, November 7, in the parking lot on Throckmorton Street, directly across from Sue Ellen’s.
Event Schedule
● Vendor Setup: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
● Open to the Public: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
● Tear Down and Cleanup: Must be completed by 5:00 p.m.
Each rummage sale plot consists of two side-by-side parking spaces and is available for $40 per plot. Participants may reserve up to three plots, for a maximum reservation cost of $120.
Vendor registration fees are the fundraising component of the event. All fees collected for rummage sale plots will benefit the Dallas Bears General Fund, supporting the work and activities of the Dallas Bears, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Individual vendors and participating organizations keep 100% of the proceeds from the items they sell. Sales made by vendors during the event are independent of the Dallas Bears fundraiser, and no portion of those sales proceeds will be collected by or owed to the Dallas Bears.
Vendors are encouraged to bring their own pop-up tent and tables for their setup. Event organizers are also working to secure a vendor that may be able to provide tent and table rentals for participants who need them. Additional information regarding rental availability will be announced as details are finalized.
The Gayborhood Community Rummage Sale is designed to encourage sustainability, support local nonprofit organizations, provide neighbors with an affordable opportunity to sell unwanted items, and bring the community together for a day of shopping and fellowship.
At the conclusion of the event, participating vendors are strongly encouraged to donate remaining sale items to Out of the Closet, helping extend the useful life of clothing, household goods, and other items while keeping reusable merchandise out of local landfills.
Whether you are cleaning out a garage or closet, raising funds for an organization, downsizing, or simply searching for your next hidden treasure, everyone is invited to participate.
Additional vendor registration information, rental details, and event announcements will be shared through the Dallas Bears social media channels.
