About this Event
Gathered Voices: Music, Memory, and Community Across 250 Years brings solo and chamber music together with historical storytelling in celebration of the Lehigh Valley’s 250th anniversary.
In the historic sanctuary of First United Church of Christ, pianist Holly Roadfeldt, Artistic Director of Two Rivers Artists, joins soprano saxophonist Kirk O’Riordan, soprano Katherine Kaiser, and flutist Brian Morris in performing music by J.S. Bach, Katherine Hoover, Roger Quilter, Amy Beach, Aaron Copland, Margaret Bonds, and Olivier Messiaen. Lafayette College Professor Christopher Phillips will offer brief reflections on hymnody and the role of music in community life.
