More Than a Meetup 🎉 As part of our FOODIES + NEW FRIENDS series.
Percentage of monthly proceeds to benefit a different non-profit each month. 50 cities, 6 people per table, new friends at the end of the day.
For September, our Virginia gatherings support Virginia's Kids Belong supports kids in foster care and the people who care for them.
We do this by uniting government, business, faith, and community leaders to:
- Connect kids with stable families
- Create community networks of support for families
- Challenge leaders towards solutions for positive outcomes for all kids
Hop off Eventbrite to become a monthly member on our official site, Foodies + New Friends. This page is to become part of a group, not to sign up for an individual date. Sign up there for portion of monthly memberships are donated to local food banks. Here, everytime you join a table, we support a family by putting dinner on theirs!

Our intention is 4 diners minumum, 6 maximum per night.

Virginia is in the midst of a foster care crisis where resources are scarce and needs are high. The mission of is to create positive outcomes for kids in and around Virginia's foster care system by developing trauma-informed, safe, stable, foster and kinship families and supportive communities. VKB seeks to achieve its mission through advocacy, education, creative storytelling, financial investment in families, and partnerships with local and state agencies and community leaders. VKB believes that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves a safe, stable, and supportive home to grow, heal, thrive and belong. Everyone in our community can do something to change the outcomes for these children and youth -- financial gifts help resource foster families and stabilize families so children can avoid the trauma of entering foster care.
